Dot NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level domain extension is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to reserve john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed third-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can order your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no special prerequisites on who can register a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
